Ramadan Is Coming ; Are you Ready ?

Saturday, June 28, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello to all of you beautiful readers out there!

Ramadan is coming which means it's tomorrow by my timezone and I can't freakin' wait for it!

What is Ramadan ?
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar which Muslims observe this as a month of fasting. This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Why I love when Ramadan's coming? Because you can feel how the poor people suffers with no food and we'll break the fast on Maghrib but how about the poor? Even our beloved Prophet Muhammad broke his fast with 3 dates. We? 1 date and a huge bowl of appetisers. Astaghfirullah.

For me, fasting is also a very good way for the one who wants to lose some weight. But it doesn't make any difference if you ate a lot during Iftar anyway.

"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -" -- Surat Al-Baqarah 2:183

Sunnah from Prophet Muhammad S.A.W .

Suhoor is a blessing to those who will submit ● Being the most generous ● Rush to break the fast ● Keeping away from sins ● Sit and eat on the floor ● Spread out a cloth on the floor first before eating ● Wash both hands  up to the wrist ● Recite the du'a ● Eat with the right hand ● Eat from the side that is in front of you ● If a morsel of food falls down, pick it up, clean it and eat it ● Do not find fault with the food ● When eating, sit with either both knees on the ground or one knee raised or both knees raised ● After eating, one should lick the fingers

A muslim should drink with right hand ● Recite Bismillah before drinking  ● Do not drink directly from the jug or a bottle. One should pour the contents into a glass first and then drink.

So to all the Muslims around the world, let's celebrate Ramadhan by level up our Iman to our Only God, Allah s.w.t.

What's In My School Bag ?

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello to my lovely readers out there. Today I'm going to show what's in my school bag. I don't have much in my school bag but it actually feels quite heavy if I accidentally over put things in it. Now, let's go! (p.s. sorry if the pictures look kind of dark. In my phone it looks bright enough.)

Tote bag : Naraya

My school bag is a small tote bag from Naraya, a company based on Thailand. It is in colour black and white. I love love love this bag so much and the price is actually quite affordable.

What's in it ?

(From the left) My dark blue with white floral pencil case and brown with (also) white floral mirror are also from Naraya. As you can see, the mirror cracked but I still use it since the crack is not bothering me. The pink floral is my calculator and the last one is my notebook. I only use the notebook to scribble or jot anything important but the book is still not written much yet. Still got a lot of empty papers that need to be written on.

What's on my bag?

Looks like I've got troll face on my bag. I'm a sucker for button and I gets extremely excited when I found these buttons at the Bazaar at The Curve. Not to mention that the seller is a huge cutie. Bonus.

As you can see, I don't have that much stuff in my bag. Well, you're going to school and not the shopping parade, am I right? But apart of this I actually got one more thing which is a must to bring and that is sunblock! I didn't capture the picture of it because I forgot and too lazy to capture it again. So that's all what I need for my days at school. Sorry if this post is not that interesting but I just want to keep the blog updated. So that's all!

What's IN your bag ?

Happy Father's Day :)

Tuesday, June 17, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello to all of you beautiful readers out there. I know this is a bit (not) too late to wish or write a post about Father's Day but, everyday IS a Father's Day to me. You got to appreciate your dad every single day of your life.

How was Father's Day start ?

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Many countries celebrate it on the third Sunday of June, though it is also celebrated widely on other days by many other countries. Father's Day was created to complement Mother's Day, a celebration that honors mothers and motherhood.

How Malaysia celebrated Father's Day ?

Fathers Day falls on the third Sunday of June. As a Muslim, we are supposed to pray for the wealthiness and the healthiness of father.

It's Father's Day and that morning before going to school, I totally FORGOT to wish my dad. That morning, I had two periods of Malay Language subject with Cikgu Adam. He started the class with a tazkirah about Father's Day. He read some kind of 'speech' that maybe gotten from WatsApp. He read for almost 15 minutes and the class filled with silents that I never felt before. For me, he read with passion and really strike through my heart and it ends with tears shield up my eyes. I'm actually embarrassed to cry in front of my teacher but I couldn't held it anymore. For one period, he talks about how valuable is a father. Yes, we do need a Mother. But it wouldn't be us without a father. But for maybe an exception, Maryam. The mother of Prophet Isa.

Some times, we should lay back and think about father for a while. Yes, we love Mom. Who doesn't? But father's also is the key to a complete family. Oopps, sorry for the orphans that doesn't have neither mom or dad or both. Don't worry, you have friends by your side.

For me, Dad IS the fierce one.Why isn't he? He's the leader of the family, he should be the main to teach us lessons. But dad also is my backbone since I'm still a toddler and now, a teenager that going her way to face SPM next year. I'm typing this post in the middle of the night in my dorm room just for you. :)

But most of all, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK. Remember that.

Book Review : Anywhere But Here by Tanya Lloyd Kyi

Thursday, June 05, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello to all of you beautiful readers. Two weeks of holiday, why don't spice up your day with some books to read ? That's what I did and yet, there's some books that I don't finish it yet. Fixi books. Why? Because I scared of what the ending might be. Anyway, now I'm going to talk about the current book I just finished reading. Which is Anywhere But Here written by Tanya Lloyd Kyi.

Why bought this book in the first place?
Truthfully, I attracted to the cover. The phrase 'don't judged a book by its cover' never really comes into my mind when I am choosing books to read. For the author out there, cover IS important. Well, for me actually. I like simple cover but actually have a deep meaning behind it pages.

Summarise it.
The story is mainly about the life of Cole Owens. The story started tragically when he got to suffers his life after the death of his mom and his father that act like a stranger in the house. With the stress of breaking up with his girlfriend Lauren, just lead with no end. All he wants to do is graduate and leave the small town to a better life. But every path have a bump on the road, right?

 The Back .

The Cover.

My review?
I imagine Cole as a tall, handsome guy like the cover describes. Even though, the cover only shows the back of the guy but imagination can goes wild sometimes. Yes, I mean wild. Don't want to write any spoiler, of course. Better make it surprise, right? All I want to say is overall, this book is just a good realistic book. This book somehow seems alive with the character and the plot written made me drown between the pages. Plus the songs I heard and one of them is Life Left To Go by Safetysuit. Honestly, this book is not my no. 1 must read but this is one of the few books that I suggest to read. This is not some cliche happy ending story but this also don't have a big twist. This is just a right book to accompany those bookworms out there.

I give it 4 rainbows out of 5 rainbows.

So, do YOU have any book to suggest?

May Playlist :)

Sunday, June 01, 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello to all of you beautiful readers! Today is the start of the June so I'm going to tell you my monthly playlist for May. I was introduced to many songs for entertainment and a bit of the craze for it also.

So here's the start of it !

Just In Case by Conor Maynard

My most favourite song of this month! *fangirl scream* I love this song very much. I listen to it every day. First, because I love his voice and second, loving the lyrics. Can't believe that he going to hit 22 this year.

I'm not try'na get involved,
Girl I just wanna let you know,
That if you you ever let him go,
I'll be here waiting for you

Hold On We're Going Home by Christina Grimmie

Her appearance at The Voice is magnificent and deserve to be the Top 3 finalist. Sad that she didn't won, but hearing Josh Kaufman sang on the final, well there's a reason why he won. But, this song really deserve all the applause.

I got my eyes on you
You're everything that I see
I want your hot love and emotion endlessly,
I can't get over you

Faith by Faizal Tahir & Jaclyn Victor

#PrayForMH370. Yes, the moment that I'll not forget. This song brings all the emotions that the passengers family felt to the listener. How sad it is. Faizal and Jaclyn voice also light up this song and make it alive.

You will always be a part of us
Heart and tears we'll stand as one
You will always shine through times dear friend
As our lives go on we soldier on

Pictures by Conor Maynard

*Laughs* Conor song again! Sorry if it annoys you, but this is another song that keep replays in my head all the time. I know that this is Frank Ocean song but I love Conor version more than Frank's. (Sorry Frank's fan!) Loving the lyrics so so so so so much.

Tell me how could you take the pictures, pictures
When you knew they were all that I had left, nothing left
They were part of our history, this story
I was always taking pictures

Shadow by Austin Mahone

This song and All I Ever Need really shows the maturity side Austin. Rather than MMM Yeah that totally presents a boy who just wants a girl type of song. This song really encourages me to buy the whole album :)

Only my shadow knows
How I feel about you
Only my shadow goes
Where I dream of you and me

There you go! My top songs and not in order. Maybe it will continue being the hearing aid till June or changes due to season? I don't know, depends on me. So if you want me to post anything else.Tell me, I'll try ;)

What is your fav playlist ?
